FOR TODAY... November 30, 2009
Outside my window... it is a foggy and partly cloudy Fall morning.
I am thinking... about not getting a Christmas tree this year. We are struggling quite badly with allergies and I am just not sure a tree would be a smart move.
I am thankful for... trials and tribulations. These are the times that I see so clearly that I am not in control.
I am wearing... jeans and a t-shirt.
I am remembering... the Thanksgiving that my little boys memorized Psalm 100 to recite at our family gathering while I interpreted in sign language.
I am going... to knitting on Tuesday night I hope. I have not been in several weeks and I miss it. I have finished a whole project even though I have not gone. The knit witch on youtube is a great teacher.
I am reading... read alouds to children and nothing other than books for gathering knowledge for myself.
I am hoping... that Jesus is coming back sooner rather than later.
On my mind... Christmas is three weeks from Friday.
From the learning rooms... we will be finishing William Bradford Pilgrim Boy, get back to out regular activities and the girls will be attending a Young Lady in Me Class at the end of the week.
Noticing that... we are exhausted and so much is a mess by the time the holidays are upon us.
Pondering these words...
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100
From the kitchen... black beans and rice with sausage and corn bread, potato soup, turkey casserole, chili, pumpkin log, cookies(?) and not necessarily in that order.
Around the house... yard work, animal pens cleaned and cleaning concrete are on the schedule for this week.
One of my favorite things~ sipping hot chocolate with marshmallows next to a bonfire.
From my picture journal... #10, that's my boy:)
