Simple Woman's May Day Daybook

For Today... May 1, 2013

Outside my window...skies are grey, we have had rain for a couple of days; that is a bit unusual for this time of year and so wonderful.

I am thinking...school curriculum for next year. What has worked, what hasn't, what do I want to add how to rekindle my love of teaching my children. Wishing I had the opportunity to attend this conference.

I am thankful for... two broken elbows and the simple lessons this is teaching me.

I am wearing... capris, a t-shirt and hobbit shoes. It is summer.

I am remembering...homeschooling is a marathon, not a sprint. The same thing I was remembering the last time I posted a Daybook, and that was lifetime ago, why change a good thing.

I am going...
to way too many Dr. appointments lately.

I am currently reading... nothing, but I just picked up Francine Rivers', and the Shofar Blew.

I am hoping
...to finish school up in the next couple of weeks, start summer lists, get to the beach often, and tackle a few projects.

On my mind... how to better serve my husband as we alter lifestyle and activities to impact some health issues.

Noticing that... it takes me longer and longer to get simple things done. They seem to require a lot more brain power.

Pondering these words... "Luke warm people do whatever is necessary to keep themselves from feeling too guilty. They want to do the bare minimum to be "good enough" without it requiring too much of them." Francis Chan, Crazy Love

From the kitchen
... BBQ chicken, squash casserole and a lot of salad.

Around the house... so long sliding glass doors and curtains, this has been a long time coming and I am so happy with the new doors.

One of my favorite things ~ when the grass turns from brown to green with just one rainfall.

From my picture journal...
NEW doors, yeah!
