sweet sixteen!

Her birthday started early with a Rend Collective concert.

On the way home we sang Happy Birthday at exactly midnight!

Friends dropped by with card and sweet presents! (wish I had taken a picture of them)

A few surprises, planned by her brother, included a cake and piƱata at Friday night youth worship, a late night trip, with a couple of friends, to eat, and a sleepover (sleepover not planned by brother).

Next up, a Gator game with Dad (and Mom - by default - extra ticket available at the last minute) Really there were six of us. Hannah, Mom and Dad, a brother, an uncle and a grandfather. But Dad did tell her he was taking her for her birthday. She loves every minute of cheering on the Gators. She was born on a game day and has been going since the year she was born. She really bleeds orange and blue. Go Gators!

Discussing a movie for later tonight...
Still deciding when and how to celebrate with family.

Hoping this next year is your favorite (so far), Hannah! I love you with all of my heart and am so thankful that you love God and others! That is all Jesus did when he came and it's what he asks you to do. I know He has great plans for your life and I am honored to be a part of them.

friday morning

He told me to move slow. My iPad and a steady rain made it easy to obey. I still crawled out before eight. Four deaths in our community this week, friends or relatives of friends, has caused a sadness and heavy heart knowing others are hurting.
