Four Seasons :: Autumn Challenge {Day 2 of 30}
So glad my kids capture so many images.
Every now and then they catch something special.
In my crazy busy life I want to remember this moment.
Loving this picture of her!

Four Seasons :: Autumn Challenge {Day 1 of 30}
Sweet little signs of a new season shared by others wishing for red, orange and gold.
Completely surrounded by green and palm trees of course.

sweet sixteen!
Her birthday started early with a Rend Collective concert.
On the way home we sang Happy Birthday at exactly midnight!
Friends dropped by with card and sweet presents! (wish I had taken a picture of them)
A few surprises, planned by her brother, included a cake and piƱata at Friday night youth worship, a late night trip, with a couple of friends, to eat, and a sleepover (sleepover not planned by brother).
Next up, a Gator game with Dad (and Mom - by default - extra ticket available at the last minute) Really there were six of us. Hannah, Mom and Dad, a brother, an uncle and a grandfather. But Dad did tell her he was taking her for her birthday. She loves every minute of cheering on the Gators. She was born on a game day and has been going since the year she was born. She really bleeds orange and blue. Go Gators!
Discussing a movie for later tonight...
Still deciding when and how to celebrate with family.
Hoping this next year is your favorite (so far), Hannah! I love you with all of my heart and am so thankful that you love God and others! That is all Jesus did when he came and it's what he asks you to do. I know He has great plans for your life and I am honored to be a part of them.

friday morning
He told me to move slow. My iPad and a steady rain made it easy to obey. I still crawled out before eight. Four deaths in our community this week, friends or relatives of friends, has caused a sadness and heavy heart knowing others are hurting.

clogged duct
If it is taking over two hours for your clothes to dry I recommend you not turn your dryer to high, set it for forty-five minutes and leave the house. After calling the dryer vent guy we now know why no air was getting through the vent. A rather large birds nest, complete with at least six eggs, was removed. Drying time, for a full load of laundry, is back down to thirty five minutes. Feeling rather thankful I didn't burn the house down.

Happy Birthday, Dad! 8.11.2014
Today is Dad's birthday! We had a very
small family dinner yesterday. It was about half the size of our
normal small family dinners. Dad is in an eating slump so dinner is not
too enjoyable for him. He did enjoy his ice cream cake because no matter
how little he eats ice cream has become a food group for him. So happy to be
celebrating a birthday we were scared we might not see. It is an interesting
dance of emotions when dealing with brain issues. So many daily occurrences are
nothing like they have been our whole lives. Other things happen and, for just
a minute, everything seems to be the way it used to be. The twist comes when
his reasoning is not characteristic of his personality. He definitely keeps us
guessing and we laugh continually. So thankful for the many laughs. While this
journey is hard it is filled with many blessings. My mom is a tremendous
blessing to Dad. Thanks Mom, for all you do.
