Count down to Carnegie Hall is in full swing. Our family leaves for New York City in just over a week and, since all of our normal activities are on summer break, all attention is now focused on trip preparations. Jacob was featured in an article in the local newspaper, along with a friend from orchestra. The reporter did a nice job telling the story of how the boys were selected to participate in this orchestra and the opportunity to do so at Carnegie. They have been spending many hours rehearsing the pieces they will be playing on the "big stage". Because this concert is combined with a family vacation there seems to be more excitement than nervousness about this gig. (I wonder if Jacob would agree with that statement?) I hope to have access to computer in our travels and be able to post as I go. We shall see. For now, it's practice, practice, practice! How else would we get to Carnegie Hall?
