Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...November 2, 2009

Outside my window...there is thick cloud cover and possible showers later this afternoon. The temperatures for the week will finally be 80 and below, the break in the heat will be so nice.

I am thinking...how happy I am to live where I do.

I am thankful for...that little camper that we have. All seven of us stayed in it for three nights and we did great!

I am wearing...p.j.'s, the weather has not helped me to get going.

I am remembering...that it was 8 years ago that we moved into our house, how do the years pass so quickly?

I am going...to start cleaning and planning for the holidays. We have several opportunities for fellowship during the next month and if I plan ahead they will be so much sweeter.

I am reading...Southern Living, shared by a friend.

I am hoping...that we get a good report at the doctor tomorrow. Things are looking up in the sleep department; for one of us anyway.

On my mind...how to make our 20th anniversary memorable.

From the learning rooms...brand new books to start today. The came while we were away this weekend.

Noticing that...there are only a couple of weeks of football left. It is always fun when it starts, and I am always thankful when it ends.

Pondering these words...If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this. C.S. Lewis

From the kitchen...spaghetti and meatballs, soup(the temperature dropped below 80), all my children will want chili, tailgating food for two football games at the end of the week.

Around the house...cleaning, yard work, decisions on when animals will be going to the butcher, cleaning out and putting up the camper.

One of my favorite things~ memories of road trips. Our trip over the weekend was to snorkel a reef. We saw all kinds of neat fish, lots of coral we studied about in school and all but Hannah had a wonderful time. She struggled with ALL of her equipment and while I did not think she was having any fun, she did tell me she was glad she went.

From my picture journal...

I am so glad you had a good weekend and enjoyed the reef! While we were in DC went saw a very large salt water tank/coral set up at the Musuem of Natural History and the kids were so excited to see fish they had studied!
I hope you have a wonderful 20th anniversary soon too!
Blessings,
Gayly

We've been looking at campers on line. We're thinking we can travel cheaper that way when Honey Bear retires.
Happy Anniversary!

So glad you had a great trip and returned safely home. Poor Rebekah baby girl glad she managed to have some fun.
Yes catching up through our daybooks is flustering. I'd rather be talking to you over tea and our crafts.
Can't wait to hear about the trip from everyone today.
Blessing my dearest friend.
