Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...November 9, 2009

Outside my window...rain is coming, and we are so in need.

I am thinking...I have almost survived the Fall season. Not the lovely colors of trees, we live where there is no such thing, and not the yummy kitchen items, nor the

I am thankful for...this Simple Woman's Daybook. No matter how hard I try, this is often the only post I get to in a week. It is not that there is nothing to put here, just not enough time to do it.

I am wearing...yoga pants and a t-shirt. (I wish I was actually doing yoga.)

I am remembering...so many families that have made a sacrifice, this week Veteran's Day.

I am going...to accomplish a high school transcript this week. Jacob needs to get an application for college in by Friday and Seth needs to get registered for next semesters classes.

I am reading...a great book on hypothyroidism and praying about going to the doctor.

I am hoping...that the labor of a friend this morning is moving quickly. Can't wait to know if it's a boy or a girl.

On my mind...Hannah, who has been away camping and playing over an extended weekend with Nanny and Poppy.

From the learning rooms...I need to schedule some field trips. We have been doing some neat local history the classroom and now need to go out and see and touch it; I love application.

Noticing that...everywhere I go there are mama's-to-be all around.

Pondering these words~ Determination vs. Faint-heartedness: Purposing to accomplish God's goals in God's timing regardless of the opposition. II Timothy 4:7-8

From the kitchen...a Birthday supper with friends, green beans from my Uncle's garden, fried rice, apples (they are just soooo good right now), and I don't know what else.

One of my favorite things~ the sound of my children laughing.

From my picture journal...

I love the little bunny picture, my sister's children raise rabbits for 4-H.
I hope you have fun planning field trips as well! I could field trip continually if given the chance- I love to have the kids see and touch history!
I hope you are doing well, I have thought of you often and know you have had a lot on your plate this fall!
Blessings,
Gayly

Love the bunny picture!

Those are good words to ponder - especially the part about "in God's timing." That's the hardest part!
