For Today, April 20, 2009...
Thank you Peggy for hosting this sweet little reminder of the simple (yet very important) things in life. Hop on over if you would like to read more.
Outside my window...the sun is shining, at the moment, but the forecast is for rain, and yes we need it!
I am thinking...about Columbine, and the other tragedies throughout recent history that have happened either yesterday or today. Also, about what may need to be done in the garden. I am not very attentive and figure...surely I should be doing something.
From the learning rooms...school continues with that end of the year feeling. What is that? Wanting to take a break, feeling like we have not done nearly enough book work and wanting to continue through the summer.
I am thankful for...my children at home. How good it is that God has allowed me the privilege to walk Deuteronomy 6:6-8
From the kitchen...menu planning.
I am wearing...jeans, a t-shirt and flip-flops. I have been to the chicken coop, but I will be changing before I go off.
I am reading...nothing in particular. There is not time for this right now, so why frustrate myself. The few minutes I steal ,to read anything, should be spent in The Word.
I am hoping...to get some posts on my blog that are long over due.
I am creating...socks and a quilt, and have not done much of that at all. I am focusing much of my energy into a facility accreditation for my husbands business.
I am praying...for a lot of progress in accreditation process and the person that will oversee the accreditation.
Around the house...we are working on consistency with maintenance. My children are now capable of most of these tasks, they need management to direct and encourage the team.
One of my favorite things...mornings, especially this time of year.
A few plans for the rest of the week...field-trip, baseball practice, orchestra rehearsal and quartet performance, along with continued projects.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...a recent trip to the feed farm. This is where we go to have the barrels of feed ground fresh for the animals that live on our little "farm". The girls were so happy to stand and watch (and learn).

May you feel the Lord's blessing upon your week. I've enjoyed reading your daybook this morning.
Happy Monday!

Enjoyed my visit here.

Lisa,
When I was a girl, we had a feed mill on our farm. I loved helping my dad around the mill. The picture of your girls brought back sweet memories!
What type of a quilt are you working on?
BTW, can you email me your address again, I seem to have miss placed it:( I am finally getting things sent out:)
Blessings,
Gayly
