FOR TODAY...Monday, October 5th.
Outside my window...it is cloudy with a slight chance of rain. We need rain and I am hoping we are blessed with that today.
I am thinking...God is good, all the time! I have been spending a lot of time researching universities for Jacob to visit and see if he is interested.
I am thankful for...the speedy recovery my mom is making. She has been with us since the end of last week and all is going well.
I am wearing...jeans and a t-shirt.
I am remembering...what time medications were given, the last time exercises were done, that it is time for more ice , and that the world is still turning out there.
I am going...as little as possible.
I am reading...only my Bible. I had begun a new book until Mom arrived and wanted it.
I am hoping...to work on Jacob's High School transcript this week.
On my mind...slowing down and ministering to the "sick". This is truly a blessing and something I am always thankful to have the opportunity to do.
Noticing that...it is much darker when I crawl out from under the covers each morning.
Pondering these words ~ "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
From the kitchen...yummy meals, prepared here or by someone else.
Around the house...home health nurse visits, physical therapy visits, friend and family visits, school work and enjoying each others company.
One of my favorite things~pumpkin spice cake with my morning cup of coffee at the beginning of Fall.

Love that picture and enjoyed your daybook! Hope all goes well with your mother and so glad you can help in her time of need.
Hi Lisa. Praise the Lord for you Mom's speedy healing and that I am sure your care for her has been a huge part of that process. I, too, love your new blog header...things of fall. The verse you are pondering is the one we have had on our answering machine for months...a wonderful directive. :-)
Blessings and continued healing for your mom...
Thanks for sharing your daybook entry with us. Praying that your Mom's recovery continues to go well. Your picture thought is lovely. Hope Jacob finds a great college with your help :) Have a great week!
Blessings,
Kristy
Lisa-
I am so glad to hear that your mom is doing well. I have been thinking of your family and remembering you all in prayer. What a blessing you all are to her right now:)
Let me know if you want a mini bag- they are quick and easy- I have made several because my little girls love to play with them as well:)
I love your picture at the end. Fall is my favorite time of the year! I'd love to have your pumpkin recipe:)
Blessings,
Gayly
