For Today...August 3, 2009
Outside my window...a sweet summer mist is hovering.
I am thinking...the next three weeks will pass too quickly and there is so much to be done before they slip away.
From the learning rooms...still cleaning out, throwing away, and selling. Does anyone know of a place to donate used curriculum? I would love to send books to someone that needs them or to someone who would be thankful to have them!! Paper work for children's activities must be completed in the next day or so.
I am thankful for...time away to rest and relax, Policy and Procedures Manual that is almost ready for the shelf, a man crew that remodeled the office bathroom from top to bottom (without me and while I was away playing over the weekend). They gutted, painted, tiled and installed all new fixtures. All that is left for me to get done are the finishing touches. These include art, toilet paper and paper towel holders, a small cabinet to hang on the wall and anything else I can think of. Thanks guys!
From the kitchen...red sauce, (no, it's not done yet) and I do not know what I will prepare this week.
I am wearing...jammies from the consignment shop and fit-flops I found for half price (I hope they work).
I am reading...my Bible, and The Yada-Yada Prayer Group.
I am hoping...this little cold I have is almost gone.
I am creating...a market bag and another knitted baby hat.
I am praying...for the person that will survey our facility (Please Lord, send someone that is kind and ethical), for baby Noah, a young couple getting married, for children~as they finish summer school and decisions are made about schedules and activities for the fall.
Around the house...things are lacking attention. Chores need defining and assigning. Schedules need to be made and preparations for the coming season of school and busyness need to be hammered out.
One of my favorite things...empanadas! A Spanish pastry filled with a ground beef mixture. I have eaten these since I was a child. I was able to share one with a sweet friend this past weekend.
A few plans for the rest of the week...finishing and shelving the P&P Manual, cleaning my mother and father in-laws house, starting and finishing paperwork for school and sports.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
Visit Peggy here to see what Simple Woman's Daybook is all about. You can go here to read more Daybooks. Thank you Peggy for hosting this simple reminder of the little things, it helps me stop think and reflect.

Summer is really flying by, isn't it?
I would like to try an empanada. I love mexican!
You know it's going to be Christmas before we know it! LOL
As far as your used curriculum you might want to post it on www.craigslist.com or http://homeschoolbuy.com/. Depending on where you live of course. Hope that helps.
Hugs.

Summer has gone quickly, we are starting school on Monday- though I have a lot to still get ready.
You are always welcome to come visit our way someday, we'd love to show you little places:)
We will be in the panhandle of your state for almost a week in early sept. I wish we'd be a bit closer but it looks like still about 6 hours from you:( My kids are excited that we will get to see a beach, they have not been before:) No big waves like your side though!
have a blessed week:)

Oh, it's so fun leaving comments after friends! I've enjoyed catching up on your blog again now that we are back from the village. Hope you enjoy the new school year and the sound of those instruments practicing!
I just stopped by this afternoon.... the photo at the top grabbed me... we leave for FL a week from today, I can't wait to have some early mornings on the beach!
Blessings,
Gayly
