Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY December 15, 2208...

Outside my window...it is cloudy, and the chicken coop is decorated in lights, it looks like a gingerbread house.
I am thinking...I need a little more time today.
I am thankful for...the wonderful season of Christmas, which brings around family and friends.
From the learning rooms...a snow globe, sewing and scrapbooks.
From the kitchen...a gingerbread house, fudge, cookies and a dinner for friends that just brought home a new little brother.
I am wearing...my jamies ~ still.
I am creating...a cozy Christmas home.
I am going...to an Orchestra Concert tonight.
I am reading...At the Manger as a read aloud.
I am hoping...to have all my Christmas shopping complete by December 25th.
I am hearing...a child repeat she is hungry.
Around the house...several lists are reminding me of things that need to be done.
One of my favorite things...is movie night for the whole family.
A few plans for the rest of the week: more movie and game nights. A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

My husband and I are cellists! What a treat to find your blog. Curious, is the title of your blog from Lois Lenski's book? Our family enjoyed that book!

No, the title of my blog is taken after my daughters who both have red/strawberry hair.
All of my children have or have had at one time red to strawberry to blonde with strawberry highlights.
I visited your blog and will be back.
Thanks for mentioning the fact that you and your husband are cellists, that is encouragement to this mama!
Music in our house is not an option, it is mandatory.
At the present time I only have one cellist. Hannah has gone back to violin.
Praying you are able rest and continue to heal.
